GREATNESS IN THE KINGDOM
Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
With almost half the year gone, I can truly say that we have experienced an amazing ride of grace thus far. His grace has kept us and continues to keep us as we walk by faith and not by sight.
We are currently in the middle of a powerful and life changing teaching series called “Understanding Harvest Time”.
Sometime back God had spoken to my heart about the fact that His people have been taught how, where and even how much to sow, but very little has been taught on reaping and the season of harvest.
While the kingdom of darkness operates on buying and selling, the kingdom of God functions on seedtime and harvest. This means that everything you do for the King is noted as a seed, with a harvest due. He misses nothing and marks everything as seed, from serving your talent, sacrificing your time, sowing a financial seed, being kind and even remaining faithful. Your harvest is on its way!
The day of Pentecost is celebrated as the season of harvest, as 3000 souls were added to the kingdom of God. This only took place after the Father sowed His only begotten Son (seed) into the earth as Savior for the world. This is the kingdom principle for increase. Glory to God.
Although seedtime and harvest is one principle, it is possible that after sowing a seed, you may miss your harvest, or not reap at all. God has a great harvest prepared for you and me, however we must be discerning of the season we’re in and the field God has called us to reap in. Never forget our common enemy, who is intent on killing, stealing and destroying, and that includes your harvest.
In Genesis 26, the Lord appears to Isaac during a time of famine and instructs him not to move from Egypt. He then sows in that land and reaps a hundred fold in that same year. The famine never touched him, because he obeyed the voice of God. Know that prosperity is also a place.
This leads us then to understand Isaiah 48:17 which says, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.”
The first part of this scripture lets us know that whatever God teaches us to do in scripture is always for our profit when we obey. Let us not neglect also to understand the second part of the verse, which says, “AND leads us by the way we should go”.
After obeying the principle of seedtime, developing a relationship with the Holy Spirit then becomes vital because we need His leading to the place of reaping.
Know that God has kept your harvest hidden for you and not from you. I am believing with you and your family, that you will experience every harvest and blessing due to you.
Everything, absolutely everything in His kingdom operates by the law of seedtime and harvest. Even taking the time to read this article has been a seed sown into your spirit.
